2026 Community Update
Hi Casters and Happy New Year! Last year was quite the ride for Spellbrook and we are so glad you’re here with us! We wanna share what we’ve been working on, what to expect next and everything about Spellbrook for 2026!
Where are we now?
Back in July, we introduced the AFK Study Hall so that you could get your hands on Magic Tokens while we worked on implementing the magic progression systems. This way you could try out new Wands and Spells, giving us all of your awesome feedback in the process. This temporary solution to distributing Wands and Spells is no more! Upon your next visit to Spellbrook, Assignments and player progression will be the main source of unlocking items and discovering new Spells.
You will be able to enroll in a Magic type, working towards Assignments for credits. With your earned credits, you can choose from a variety of weekly rewards from that Magic type’s Prize Store. As you grind out those Assignments each day you’ll find that you accumulate a streak! Not only will this show your dedication to honing your craft, but will reward you with bonuses. Through the rotating prize store, Casters can also get their hands on some Mysterious Items such as Mysterious Spell Scrolls and Mysterious Wand Boxes. Take these to the new Transcribe Table to discover their mysterious contents…
In October, we went to Cubed! to showcase what we’ve been cooking! The entire map has been overhauled, so for all of our alpha players this will be familiar but fresh! The village has a new look— the Square Plaza is home to a variety of shops and businesses ready to help new Casters along their way...
Spellbrook Academy underwent a redesign as well! The interior is much more spacious, making room from new classrooms, a library, meeting hall and more to be discovered! You will find that you're spending more time in the Academy this time around as a variety of new resources are there!
Transcribe Tables, Wand Workbenches and more useful tools for aspiring Casters can be found in classrooms and the library. There's magic in the air! No, literally. We may be having a pest problem in the library and could use your help... don't worry, you'll get some extra credit!
Beyond the Academy gates lurks a mysterious forest… Beware as you traverse this unfamiliar area, who knows what may greet you! Adventure into the Dark Forest — complete Assignments, discover new creatures and maybe even challenge the bosses who inhabit this strange place!
And for those brave students who choose to go even deeper, the Graveyard may be the perfect place to put your skills to the test…
These features are all core parts of the gameplay and we wanted to make them as exciting and fresh as possible for everyone! We are always looking for community feedback to help us make the Spellbrook you will all enjoy. Join us in the Discord – there we bounce ideas around, host events and share what we're working on.
